243 The last week..

May 17, 2009

Ok.. back again.. didn’t write here for a long time – again. Life please slow down a little bit. ok??

I’m on my last week of the studies now.. well.. depends on if I manage to finish in time. I have tons of things left to do. Oh well.. I’ll do my best. If I don’t finish in time – the only things that happens is that I get my well needed summer vacation later – and get the grades later.. To get the grades later is not a problem for me.. though I would love to be free by Friday.. so I’ll of course make a serious try.

So now.. our friend left last tuesday.. so now it’s only us again.
We had a wonderful day last Monday.. we rented a car and went to Kibbutz Kalia, and let the kids try horsebackriding. They had so fun! …and also they got to see other animals too. Our kids aren’t spoiled when it comes to these things. Since we don’t have a car – we almost never go outside our little town. So going out like this – is very different from what they are used to.. I think they will live long on this memory.

I’ll post a few pictures from the horsebackriding.. on purpose without showing the kids’ faces.

Well.. I think you can guess they had a great time.. 🙂

Today.. the kids are at Kindergarten. They were so happy because they are going to some kind of theatre today..  so I hope they are having a good time. A year ago I would freak out every time I knew they were leaving kindergarten for something like this.. I couldn’t help that I was worried.. it can’t be easy for the teachers to go out like that with 34 kids. How can I know that nobody gets lost on the way? I would even keep E home those days.. because it made me feel better.
Though now I have somehow managed to overcome my fear.. so I let them go.. and I’m not worried. I’m sure they have fun.. I’m sure that the teachers are really looking after them.. and I’m sure that the kids are now more secure and they know Hebrew better. Not that I think that it would ever happen .. but if they would get lost – they would be able to tell their name and to which kindergarten they belong. They would ask for help. I guess that helps me to freak out less.
They have to grow up.. become more independent. They have to do things without me.. I have to learn to let somebody else have the control. I think I’m learning.. but it’s not easy.

No news about the “getting the baby to nap”-thing. She still refuses to sleep most days. She takes a nap maybe two or three times a week now. Oh those genes…

174 Painting Kitchen

November 25, 2008

Most people who are busy – do what they need to do – and skip other things.

When I’m busy.. I do a lot of things that I don’t have to do at the moment. The more to do – the more motivation to finish everything in time.. So in some way we gain a lot on having a busy me. We get a lot of things done that never would be done if I wasn’t busy. I’m on or off… never in between!

So now.. I’m a bit behind with the studies.. (don’t worry.. it’ll be ok. I’ll for sure speed up towards the end of the week) and I finally got started with the “painting kitchen”-project. Now – that is badly needed. Seriously I’ve never seen more disgusting kitchen walls before.. Not what you want to have around you when cooking and baking. uuh! We’ve had everything for it since we moved in – beginning of July..  But only now I got “my ass out of the stroller” (I guess you can’t say that in English but you get the picture – right?) and got started.

So hello from the planet where there is always change in the air.. and lots of things going on. At least we never get bored.

¤ 83 The National Parking Wrong Day

September 20, 2008

Shabat is the day when it’s hard to go out for a walk with a baby stroller. Since the police is apparently not giving a fine for parking wrong on shabat, you find cars everywhere.. on the grass, on pavement, at the busstop etc. As soon as shabat is over – the car owners go back to normal parking habits.

While the cat is away, the mice will play…

Except for that we had a good day… walking a lot. At least the walking kept our 4-year-old’s energy on a good level for a change and he didn’t have so much energy left to make a balagan.. but also he was not too tired – so he didn’t complain either. Perfect!

Tonight I finished the paper on theory and method that I have to hand in tomorrow.. That means I get a day off from studying tomorrow. Yeay!

¤ 48 Please Brain – would you work for a sec??

August 20, 2008

I don’t know what happened. I just don’t have anything to blog about.. no inspiration.. no bright ideas.. nothing.

How do you guys do.. you who write 2-3-4 posts a day and (almost) always something brand new, interesting, nice?? Not that I would have the time to blog so much.. but come on.. only one tiny little post every day. Please! Brain! Would you work for a sec??

The kiddos had a wonderful day. It started with a fight before I even woke up (I woke up FROM it). But then they were fine.. best day this far in August I think. Yeay. Pleeeease copy today – paste tomorrow!

Soon hubby is coming out from the shower to kick me from the computer.. I’d better finish before that happens. Have a good morning/day/evening/night – whatever depending on when and where you’re reading this.

¤ 46 No more fighting here

August 19, 2008

Yeay! Soon no more fighting about computers in this house.. (not that we “fighted” earlier either…) Today we ordered a laptop.. it will be delivered in a couple of weeks. My history course is starting in another week.. The new computer is really going to help.. Then hubby and I can study at the same time and not have to wait for eachother to finish all the time. That will hopefully give us more time together too!

Today we had a lot to do.. went to the post office, bank, interior ministry etc. We also had appointments for all three kids at the eye doctor.. Thank God – they are all seeing perfectly!

The afternoon I spent uploading pictures at facebook.=)

This is by the way the end of hubby’s vacation. Tomorrow he is back at work. I’m so thankful for theese days we had – recharging the batteries.. we really needed that!

My RSS is looking terrible.. too many blogs to read – and since hubby is going to use the computer for studying the whole evening I’ll not be able to catch up tonight either.. Happy this problem will soon be solved.. =)

Uhm.. I should get started with preparing the dinner now.

¤15 I want to bring a crocodile to Greenland

May 15, 2008

Warning text inside the storage basket of strollerI’m still struggling with the essay… passed half the time I had for it.. did definitely not finished half the essay – and I have absolutely no idea how to get enough time – even if I study on shabat – wich I prefer not to do – but if the only other choice is the second chance in the summer – shabat is better..

Today I went shopping… for a whole week. Nice to do that again.. if not – I have to go to do shopping with the kids every single day and that takes me a lot of time and energy that I could use for other things.

On the way to the mall (walking) a car drove up behind me, stopped, they opened the window and asked if I wanted a lift to the mall. It was the delivery truck.. delivering people’s groceries home from the supermarket. (including ours.. You pay 20 shekels/$6 to get it delivered within two hours.. good service for us who don’t have a car) The guys already recognize me and know that I do my shoppings every Thursday evening… Soo.. I got a lift with the arab delivery guys.. new experience! 🙂

Baby Talitha is finally starting to eat solids.. today I got her to eat a whole jar of rice, potatoes and vegetables!! The energy she got from that she used to do some exercises.. like standing on hands and toes with belly and knees in the air.. loosing balance, rolling over, bumping head into the floor – crying.. hugging.. going back to floor – doing exactly the same thing over again! Third kid.. but still so amazing to see them learn..

Emunah is btw. sleeping without diaper for the first time… we’ll see how it goes..

Now I should study.

The title has nothing to do with the post itself.
Though I would like to go to Greenland some time.
